Research in the Department
Rutgers physics and astronomy faculty members are scientists who
are at the forefront of their fields. They pursue experimental and
theoretical investigations in most of the areas of current interest
in physics. Much of the research is conducted on a collaborative
basis with scientists at laboratories and universities throughout the
world. The principal research groups in the department have provided
brief summaries of their activities. For research areas of
individuals, see the departmental
directory.
