Angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) and
scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) have been used extensively in
studying electronic structure and superconducting gap of the iron-based
superconductors (IBSCs). In this talk, I will present some of our
recent ARPES and STM results on the IBSCs, mainly focus on measurements
of the superconducting state of many different IBSCs. Our results
reveal some novel features of IBSCs, and provide input to the
understanding of pairing symmetry and mechanism of IBSCs.
