Reflection and tunneling of an electron wavepacket directed at a potential barrier. The bright spot moving to the left is the reflected part of the wavepacket. A very dim spot can be seen moving to the right of the barrier. This is the small fraction of the wavepacket that tunnels through the classically forbidden barrier.
