Local Information
The meeting is being held on Busch Campus of Rutgers University, located in Piscataway, NJ. Driving directions from the meeting hotels are below. A list of New Brunswick restaurants is available here.
On Friday January 12 and Sunday January 14, the meeting will be in the Busch Campus Center, in the multi-purpose room and Center Hall. The Campus Center is to the upper right of the map below. (Note that letters in the roads indicate Rutgers bus routes, and circles in the roads indicate Rutgers bus stops.) Parking permits are for lots 51, on the opposite side of Bartholomew Road from the Campus Center, and 67, along Bartholomew Road next to the Campus Center.
On Saturday, January 13, the meeting will be in the Allison Road Classroom (ARC) Building, room 103. The ARC building is across Allison Road from the Department of Physics & Astronomy, to the upper left of the map below. Parking permits are for lots 53, along Frelinghuysen Rd next to Serin Physics Lab, and 53A, on the opposite side of Frelinghuysen Rd. Please note that lot 53 is a gated lot; the gate should be open, but there is a chance that you will need to use lot 53A.
The basic instructions for parking permits are:
- WRITE YOUR CAR LISCENSE PLATE ON THE PERMIT, IN THE SPACE PROVIDED.
- DISPLAY THE PERMIT ON THE LEFT SIDE OF VEHICLE DASHBOARD.
- PARK IN ONE OF THE LOTS LISTED.
- THE PERMIT DOES NOT PROVIDE FREE METER PARKING.
There are 3 permits, in pdf format, for Friday 1/12/07, Saturday 1/13/07, and Sunday 1/14/07. The sheets are formatted with two permits per page; you only need to fill out and display one-half of the page.
Driving Directions from Meeting Hotels
From the Doubletree Hotel:
- From Atrium Drive, turn right onto Davidson.
- At the end of Davidson, turn right onto Easton Ave.
- Easton Ave. goes underneath Rte 287; immediately after you pass under 287 bear left onto the ramp, to get onto 287.
- Take the first exit, immediately after the bridge, and bear right onto River Road.
- Follow River Road until you pass under the rte 18 bridge. Take a left at the light onto the large ramp up onto Metlar's Lane / rte 18.
- Almost immediately take the exit to Busch Campus.
- At the circle, take the first exit onto Bartholomew Rd.
- Lot 67 is on the left after Brett Rd, Lot 51 is slightly further, on the right, opposite the Campus Center.
- Walk in the main entrance and walk straight back. Go behind the reception desk. The hadron meeting is in the General Purpose Room right behind the desk. The phase meeting is in Center Hall, to the right of the GPR.
- At the circle, take the second exit onto Frelinghuysen Rd.
- Lot 53A is the first turn on the left. Lot 53 is slightly further, on the right, between the bus stop and Allison Road.
- Walk to end of the parking lot opposite the entry. Turn right and go up the steps. Take the crosswalk across Allison Road and go right into the 3 story brick building. The meeting is in the auditorium, room 103, on your right.
From the Holiday Inn:
- Head south on Stelton Road, away from Rte 287.
- Turn right at the third light onto Metlar's Lane.
- At the next light, Metlar's Lane turns left; stay on Metlar's Lane.
- At the second light, Metlar's Lane turns right; stay on Metlar's Lane.
- At the next light, the road ends and you have to turn. Turn right, getting into the left lane so you will go up over the bridge.
- At the intersection at the bottom of the bridge, go straight onto Davidson Rd.
- Turn left onto Bartholomew Rd.
- Almost immediately, turn left into parking lot 51. As you enter the lot, the Campus Center is to the back right corner of the lot.
- Walk in the main entrance and walk straight back. Go behind the reception desk. The hadron meeting is in the General Purpose Room right behind the desk. The phase meeting is in Center Hall, to the right of the GPR.

- Take the first exit to Busch Campus.
