We study experimental high-energy nuclear physics and investigate the properties of strongly interacting, very hot and dense QCD matter produced in Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN and Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Long Island, NY.
Our group participates in CMS Experiment at LHC, STAR Experiment at RHIC and future SPHENIX Experiment at RHIC. The CMS experiment at the LHC is a general multi-purpose detector designed to explore physics at the large (TeV) energy scales. The STAR Experiment is currently the only large scale experiments at RHIC and is designed to measure the particles that are produced in the collisions of proton to gold ions. In these experiments we explore how matter originally formed .
