Physics 272+
01:750:272 Honors Physics II Plus is a 3-credit course that is the second of the three-semester Honors Physics sequence. It covers the topics of Fluids, Waves, Electricity and Magnetism, and Optics. This course would be also conceptually heavy but we will be using more mathematical tools to derive the physical relationships. Lectures would be longer but there won’t be any required recitation sessions.
Before the first lecture, Wednesday January 18, 2017, you will need to have two items:
1) an Iclicker (for class participation)
2) a copy of the book
Purcell and Morin, Electricity and Magnetism, 3rd Edition
(For chapters Fluids and Waves: handout notes will be distributed.)
If you have an Iclicker from another course, great! Just put in a fresh battery or keep one with you in case the old one dies in the middle of lecture.
Please use Sakai chat room for questions: https://sakai.rutgers.edu/ (e-mail me if you cannot access the site.)
There will be no recitation sessions for the 272Plus.
