Physics 272
01:750:272 Honors Physics II is a 3-credit course that is the second of the three-semester Honors Physics sequence. It covers the topics of Fluids, Waves, Electricity and Magnetism, and Optics.
If you took Honors Physics I last semester and purchased the required items, YOU DON'T NEED TO BUY ANYTHING MORE FOR HONORS PHYSICS II. We'll use the same textbook, and the WebAssign code and iClicker transmitter will remain valid.
Before the first lecture, Wednesday January 21, 2015, you will need to have three items:
1) an Iclicker (for class participation)
2) a copy of the book
Halliday, Resnick, Walker: Fundamentals of Physics
3) a license for the online homework software WebAssign (otherwise you will not be able to do the homework! )
If you have an Iclicker from another course, great! Just put in a fresh battery or keep one with you in case the old one dies in the middle of lecture.
The book is available new at the Rutgers bookstore, both on its own and in a bundle with the WebAssign license.
Please use Sakai chat room for questions: https://sakai.rutgers.edu/ (e-mail me if you cannot access the site.)
Recitations: The first recitation session will be held on Jan 29th 2015 for Thursday sessions and January 30th 2015 for the Friday session. There will be a quiz starting with the first recitation session.
