Scientists use X-ray telescopes to study the universe, because
    so many objects in the sky emit x-rays.  Click on the x-ray image

    x-rays.  

    We cannot see x-rays with our eyes, but x-ray telescopes can
    collect data on the x-ray photons, and then we can represent
    data in "false color" to obtain information about the objects in the |
    sky. 

    So, what can we learn about x-ray photons that are collected by
    the telescope?

    We can learn about their arrival time, their energy, and their
    position in the sky.
