home built Ultra High Vacuum Low
Temperature- Cryogen-Free modular compact
STM operates at temperatures down to 4K
and magnetic fields up to 9 Tesla. It is
equipped with coarse XYZ
motors providing a scanning range of
several mm and with a fine motor for
zooming in to sub-atomic length scales.
The patented pluggable STM head can be
interchanged, without breaking vacuum,
between a room temperature station and the
low temperature one. The unit is
equipped with a prep chamber for film
deposition, ion etching, tip conditioning,
and sample exfoliation all under the same
vacuum. |
