Checklist version 1.2 for the IBM-PC.

I wrote Checklist many years ago. I'm now making it available as freeware (Of course if you want to send money, please do.). Just don't claim it as your own.

This program will run with a monochrome adapter on up. The display routine isn't very efficient, so it runs better with a 386+.

The program was written to help with the following problem:
Every two weeks paychecks arrive at an office. A list of names needs to be generated so that people can sign next to their names as they pick up their checks. However, there is not always a check every cycle for each employee.

This program allows you to type in the name of employees and move them out of the list with the right-arrow key, or back into the list with the left-arrow key. Use the up and down arrow keys to move up and down the list. When you type in a name (see the Insert: prompt) and depress the RETURN key, the name is alphabetically inserted into the list. Some commands are available through the FUNCTION-KEYS. Pressing F1 brings up some online help. Printing is not configurable and operates through LPT1. Some network environments can reroute LPT output (simple ASCII output) to your network printer.

If you don't enter a list filename the file in the current directory named "default.lst" will be used.

This program has been in use atleast one place for over 5 years with no problems. Your mileage may vary. It's free. Don't blame me if anything goes wrong... use at your own risk.

This is a typical screenshot from the program:

NOTE: This program is being made available with no warranty, either expressed or implied, for any particular purpose. In no event shall the Author of Checklist v1.2 (for DOS) be liable for any damages whatsoever, arising from the use or misuse of this software.
