The $210 million project known as the Rose Center for Earth and Space in New York City (containing the completely rebuilt Hayden Planetarium and a newly founded research department in astrophysics) is the worlds's most ambitious facility for bringing the universe down to earth. During the six years of planning and construction, many innovative approaches to science, education, architecture, and design were taken. In this talk, Tyson will share selected highlights from all phases of the making of the Rose Center.
