Evidence for Non-zero Neutrino Mass

At the memorable Neutrino 98 conference (XVIII International Conference on Neutrino Physics and Astrophysics) held in Takayama, Japan, June 4 - 9, 1998, the Super-Kamiokande collaboration reported an historic finding, evidence for non-zero neutrino mass. In this talk, I will briefly survey the history of the neutrino physics leading to the finding, review the nature of the discovery, and discuss its important ramifications in general terms. I will also present some new results on solar neutrinos and from the K2K long baseline experiment.
