For those of you interested in obtaining extra credit, please read the paper Can we Defuse the Global Warming Time Bomb? by James Hansen
and write a five page (typed) report on the main points of the paper relating them to
material discussed in class. Please see the announcements below for important information concerning this extra credit project.
I've assigned the extra credit points. In most cases these were added to the midterm grade. If this would have made the midterm grade greater than 100, the additional points will be added to the final exam score.
All of the attendance/quiz excuses have been made and the lowest two attendance/quiz grades have been dropped.
The final exam will be Wednesday May 15 from noon to 3:00 in this room. You may bring one 8.5 x 11 sheet with you. The exam will be cumulative. It will likely consist of 40 multiple choice questions.
There will be a review session on Tuesday May 14 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Frelinghuysen Hall, room B2.
I will be available all day on Tuesday May 14 (the day before the exam) in case you want to stop by and ask me anything. If you come by between 1:30 and 3:30 there is no need to email me. If you would prefer to come by in the morning, please email me so that I will be sure to be in my office.
For those of you who did the extra credit, I wrote very few comments on the papers that I handed back on Monday. In most cases, I didn't make any. Please be assured though that I did in fact read all of the papers.

The final is on Wednesday May 15 from noon to 3:00. It will be in the usual classroom, MU-211. The exam will likely consist of 40 multiple choice questions.
I'll hold a review session for the final exam on Tuesday evening May 14 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. I'll announce the room for the review later.
A practice final is posted on the course website. I'll post the answers to the practice exam later.
