This
workshop continues a series of experimental and/or theoretical meetings
on fundamental issues in the physics of ferroelectrics, held each
February since 1990. The 2007 workshop will cover experimental and
theoretical issues in synthesizing, measuring, understanding, and
predicting the behavior of ferroelectrics and related materials. Topics
of particular interest will include piezoelectricity; phase transitions
and phase diagrams of multicomponent systems; surfaces, thin films,
nanostructures and superlattices; and measurement and calculation of
optical, electrical and magnetic properties. An evening reception will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2007; the workshop will begin Monday morning, February 12, and run for 2 1/2 days, ending with lunch on Wednesday, February 14. Those interested in presenting work at the meeting should submit a 2-page extended abstract; Abstract Due Date has been extended to Friday, January 12, 2007. Please see information on Abstract Submission below. |
