About Me

I am a full professor (P1) at Rutgers University, where I conduct research with the CMS experiment, one of the detectors at the LHC at CERN. Before joining Rutgers, I was a postdoc at Brown University, where I worked on early searches for large extra dimensions at the LHC. My Ph.D. research was conducted at Harvard University on top quark physics with the CDF experiment. I began my physics career as an undergraduate at Princeton, where I studied neutrino physics and early Universe cosmology. A recent CV can be found here.

Projects

I presently work on a variety of projects with the CMS experiment. My general interests lie in the search for beyond-the-Standard-Model (BSM) physics at the LHC, and I am typically involved in several data analyses at any given time. At the moment, my research includes searches for BSM pseudoscalars, QCD instantons, and rare B decays. I have long-standing involvement in the operations of the CMS hadron calorimeter, and I also contribute to the “Phase 2” upgrade of the CMS outer tracker. Beyond CMS, I am a founding member of the MATHUSLA experiment, and I work on R&D for dual-readout calorimetry at the FCC-ee.
