First, the most common sight, smell, and sound in Bangkok --
and the unavoidable mode of transportation sometime in Thailand --
the "tuk-tuk." (Think "tuk-tuk-tuk-tuk-tuk-tuk...")

The next few pictures are in and around the Grand Palace. This is as you first
enter the palace grounds, looking toward the wall of the palace monestary.

And with that, it was time to catch the train north to Chiang Mai
for a couple of days. This is actually from the train heading south,
on the way to the islands.
