(1) In the first chapter of "Relativity" Einstein writes about
    Euclidean geometry.  What is this? In the same chapter he writes
    about "practically rigid bodies." What does he mean by this
    curious expression? In your essay you should consider the
    differences between a mathematical vs. physical view of reality.

(2) Describe the Michelson-Morley experiment and explain why it is
    considered to be so important for the origins of modern physics.
