(1) Write a two part essay based on topics from this week's reading
("Physics" in "The Development of the Sciences").  The first part of
your essay should address a theme from the reading that you feel was
relevant to the origin of Einstein's work on Relativity. The second
part should address an issue that you believe was not relevant.  For
each case justify your choices and explain your reasoning.

(2) Choose a theme from "The World as I See It" (p. 8) in "Ideas and
Opinions" and discuss how it agrees or contrasts with your own
views.
