B.A. Physics – University of California, Berkeley, 2016
Minor: Nuclear Engineering
I am interested in nuclear astrophysics, specifically nucleosynthesis and the origin of the elements. My work involves measuring nuclear reactions at low energies in order to constrain astrophysical production sites and verify theoretical models. Many of these reactions can only be studied using radioactive isotope beams.
As an undergraduate, I was a member of UC Berkeley’s Bay Area Neutron Group, studying under Dr. Bethany Goldblum of UC Berkeley and Dr. Darren Bleuel of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
