Learning
Resources:
If you
are having difficulty with the course, you are strongly encouraged to make use
of the available resources below.
Do not wait until the exam time before seeking help.
TAKE ACTION NOW.
-
Free tutoring available: Professor William DeBuvitz,
Friday 10:00am-12:00noon, ARC 332 at the MSLC
- Instructor's office
hours. This is a good place to clear up points you find
confusing and to get help in general. Although you will probably
prefer to seek help from your own workshop or lab instructor, you may
attend any instructor's office hour.
- The Busch Math and
Science Learning Center (MSLC), which is located on the third floor
of ARC(Allison Road Classroom Building). The Learning Resource Center located in
the same building offers free one-to-one tutoring. The MSLC will
have old exams on file that you can copy.
Courses 161, 203, 204 are algebra based physics courses
of comparable levels of difficulty.
We highly recommend that you
study with your laboratory/workshop partners and/or form a study group with
some of your other classmates.
By studying
with others you can get help when you do not understand something. Even
if you think you understand a concept, you will find that your understanding is
greatly improved when you attempt to explain it to someone else who is having
trouble with it. It is important to discuss the material with another person.
