Research Activities

I am working on the application of computers to find the low-lying states of quantum mechanical systems having many degrees of freedom. The method has different advantages and disadvantages from the Monte Carlo approach, and the advantages may be significant when fermions are involved. Initial applications are to the Hubbard model (relevant to high Tc superconductivity), and I hope to study quantum chromodynamics in this way.
