Measuring nuclear g-factors in Rutgers and living in New Jersey, an outstanding experience

The postdoctoral experience is a happy period between the end of a Ph.D. and the beginning of a permanent, serious, and usually heavily taxed position. Few jobs in the world permit to enjoy the intellectual pleasure of learning about science and new cultures at the same time. In this talk, I would like to describe my personal journey into the Nuclear Physics Group, at Rutgers University, delineating some of the achievements and challenging questions generated in the field of g-factor measurements. During the talk, some interesting moments will be described, making the link between how to live and to work in New Jersey, creates an excellent synergy to improve the life and the postdoctoral research.
