Using Self-Assembly To Create Electronic Materials

Colin Nuckolls
Department of Chemistry and The Nanoscience Center, Columbia University

This presentation will explore three new classes of molecules, their assembly on metals and metal oxides, and their properties in nanoscale test structures.  The goal is to develop a fundamental understanding of how a particular molecular substructure encodes assembly and how in turn the superstructure influences properties at short length scales.
