We have immediate availability for a postdoctoral research associate in experimental particle physics at Rutgers University. Our group, led by Profs. John Paul Chou, Yuri Gershtein, Eva Halkiadakis, Amit Lath, Steve Schnetzer and Sunil Somalwar, has major involvement in CMS experiment at the LHC, and a strong history of physics, software and hardware contributions to the Tevatron experiments. We also closely collaborate with our theory colleagues Profs. Scott Thomas, David Shih, and Matthew Buckley.An applicant should possess strong data analysis skills, and is expected to participate in analysis of CMS data and to contribute to one of our CMS responsibilities, namely Hadron Calorimeter maintenance and operations in Run 2 and Phase 1 upgrade, as well as Phase 2 upgrades to the Outer Tracker and Track Trigger. There is flexibility in primary employment location which can be CERN, Rutgers, or at the LHC Physics Center at FNAL.
