"Toward an Understanding of Hadron-Hadron Collisions: From
Feynman-Field to the LHC"

Abstract:

I will discuss the evolution of our understanding of hadron-hadron
collisions at high energy starting from the Field-Feynman
"black-box" model and ending with the present day QCD Monte-Carlo model
extrapolations to the LHC. In addition, I will explain some of what we
have learned from studies of "min-bias" collisions and the "underlying
event" in high transverse momentum jet production and in Z-boson
production at the Tevatron.
