Aspects of Holographic Entanglement of Purification

In this talk I will present the notion of entanglement of purification and its conjectured holographic dual, first discussed by Takayanagi and Umemoto and independently by Swingle et al. I will present several generalizations of this notion, demonstrating new properties in both the quantum information and holographic sides of the duality, and will discuss several applications of these ideas to AdS/CFT, black hole physics, and the information paradox.
