Dark Mesons at the LHC

A new, strongly-coupled "dark" sector could be accessible to LHC through resonant production of dark pions through a dark rho. I'll discuss motivation, the effective theory, the role of custodial symmetry, the production rate, decay of dark pions, and the experimental signals. In some cases, the best (re-casted) constraints are from 8 TeV searches and not 13 TeV searches. I'll discuss this, and in general why dark mesons provide an interesting example of new physics that ATLAS and CMS is not (yet) well-optimized to find.
