Studying six-dimensional (2,0) theories with the superconformal bootstrap

Superconformal theories in six dimensions have played a central role in many recent developments in the study of supersymmetric quantum field theory. This despite the fact that these theories still lack a satisfactory microscopic formulation. I will describe the state of efforts to analyze such theories using the bootstrap approach to conformal field theory, with an emphasis on numerical results reported in arXiv:1507.05637.
