Unification and New Signals at the LHC

The fact that the standard model gauge couplings approximately unify at high energies has motivated work on many models involving larger gauge groups. Assuming that unification occurs perturbatively, there is a restricted set of new fields that can be added without disrupting this behavior. In this talk, I will use this set of possibilities to motivate interesting signals of new physics one can hope to observe at the LHC.
