Further information about the GRE exams

Here is the location of the GRE Web Site. We summarize here the information relevant to applicants to our graduate program.

You are normally expected to take both the General Test and the Physics Subject Test before applying to our program.

The General Test is now given mainly by computer; the paper-based version has been discontinued in most locations around the world. Appointment dates for the computer-based test are flexible and are scheduled on a first-come first-served basis. To find out about international locations where the test can be taken, click here and then click on the first letter of the country in which you are interested.

The Subject Tests are given only in paper-based versions and only on certain test dates. For international locations, go here and scroll down until you find the link that looks like "1999-2000 Subject Test Center List".
