Windows Environment



Windows XP PC's in the Physics Department are used mainly by support staff and some faculty,
although a number may also be found in the various public-access computer rooms.

Users access public-access Windows PC's by logging on locally via a 'guest' account.
Username and password for the guest account are available upon request by emailing help@physics.rutgers.edu .

Upon logging in to a Windows XP machine, the user is presented with the familiar Windows XP environment.

Software available on Windows machines includes Microsoft Office, Firefox, Mathematica and Adobe Reader.
