Postdoctoral Positions in LLNL's Quantum Simulation Group

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s (LLNL) Quantum Simulation Group is
looking to fill one or more Postdoctoral Research Positions in the field of
electronic structure simulations of materials. The positions are available
immediately and renewable for up to 3 years.

We are seeking applicants with a strong background in solid-state physics or
chemistry and experience with electronic structure simulation techniques
such as Density Functional Theory and Quantum Monte Carlo. Candidates with
experience studying nanostructured materials, electron transport in
semiconductors, or radiation detector materials are particularly encouraged
to apply.

The Quantum Simulation Group currently consists of ten Ph.D.'s in condensed
matter physics and chemistry. It has extensive collaborations with a broad
range of international theoretical and experimental groups. The group makes
extensive use of the world leading high performance computational facilities
at LLNL. More information on the QSG group, its research, publications, and
personnel can be found on the group website, www.llnl.gov/qsg

Interested candidates should send their curriculum vitae and list of
references to:

Dr. Eric Schwegler, schwegler1-at-llnl.gov
