Dear Colleagues,

I would like to alert you to a new postdoctoral position in  
electronic structure and computational nanoscience in the Theory  
Facility at the Molecular Foundry at Lawrence Berkeley National  
Laboratory. The Molecular Foundry is brand new, national nanoscience  
user facility funded by the DOE. Through dissemination of materials,  
tools, and expertise, the Foundry's mission is to provide support to  
research in nanoscience underway in academic, government, and  
industrial laboratories around the world. (See www.foundry.lbl.gov).

Theory research at the Foundry currently involves the application and  
development of computational techniques -- e.g., density functional  
theory, GW/BSE approaches to excited states, low-dimensional  
transport and scattering theory , and molecular dynamics -- to  
problems in important areas in nanoscience, such as nanoelectronics,  
nanomechanics, energy-related science, and the synthesis, growth, and  
characterization of new materials.
