This project runs in parallel with an experimental=20 programme. The successful candidate should have or be about to obtain a PhD= =20 in a physics related area. Experience in computational modelling work in on= e=20 or more of plasma physics, liquid metals or X-ray scattering would be an=20 advantage. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with= =20 researchers in three Centres in the School of Mathematics and Physics:=20 Plasma Physics, Atomistic Simulation, and Theoretical and Computational=20 Physics. The project involves the analysis of structural and time-dependent= =20 phenomena in many-body systems made of classical ions and quantum electrons= ,=20 both interacting with electromagnetic fields.
