Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite applications for new positions in
theoretical/computational nanoscience at the Molecular Foundry at
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Descriptions of these positions
appear below and on the Molecular Foundry website. More information
about the Molecular Foundry can be found at http://foundry.lbl.gov.

-- Staff position

We have an immediate opening for a staff scientist with interest in
developing computational methods and algorithms for study in the broad
areas of electronic structure, excited-state properties, transport,
and/or molecular dynamics of nanostructures and nanoscale assemblies.

The formal advertisement and instructions for application submission can
be found through the link

http://jobs.lbl.gov/LBNLCareers/details.asp?jid=18800&p=1

The staff scientist position is a term appointment renewable each year
for up to a five-year period; possibility for promotion to career based
on the availability of funding. Staff scientists in the Theory Facility
of the Molecular Foundry report to the facility director, Prof. Steven
G. Louie.

-- Postdoctoral position

We may also have openings for postdocs in the general areas of
electronic, optical, and transport properties of nanostructures,
starting this summer or fall. Interested candidates should send a CV
and the names of three references to Dr. Jeffrey B. Neaton
(jbneaton-at-lbl.gov) and Prof. Steven G. Louie (sglouie-at-berkeley.edu).

Please feel free to forward this to any interested parties.

Best regards,

Jeffrey Neaton
Steven Louie
