	THEORETICAL CONDENSED MATTER AND STATISTICAL PHYSICS (CM&SP) 
POST-DOCTORAL POSITIONS
						AT
					THE ABDUS SALAM
INTERNATIONAL CENTRE FOR THEORETICAL PHYSICS  (ICTP)

			(ACADEMIC YEAR 2006-2007)



	The current research areas of the ICTP CMSP Section include strongly 
correlated electron systems, disordered and mesoscopic systems, 
ab-initio electronic structure studies, quantum liquids and solids, 
surface physics, friction, theoretical nanoscience, synchrotron 
radiation related physics, statistical physics and related 
interdisciplinary areas, including glassy systems, soft matter, theory 
of computation, ecological economics.

	A limited number of post-doctoral positions for young CM&SP 
theoreticians will be available starting Fall 2006.

	Appointments will be made for two years, with the possibility of 
renewal for one more year.

	Applicants should be no more than 35 years of age at the time of 
application and should have obtained their Ph.D. after 2001.  
Applications, including a detailed curriculum vitae (indicating date of 
birth, nationality, family status, dependents), list of publications 
and at least three letters of recommendation (sent separately), should 
be clearly addressed and sent hard copy to:
