Dear Colleague,

Our group at the Univ. of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Lab has open
postdoctoral positions (see text below). We would be grateful if you could
pass this information to anyone who might be interested. The main target
are experts in strongly correlated electrons in general, with expertise in
either bulk or nanoscopic systems.

Best regards
Adriana Moreo and Elbio Dagotto

One or more postdoctoral positions in Condensed Matter Theory are expected
to be available in our group. The areas of interest include strongly
correlated electrons (in particular, materials where complex
behavior emerges from correlations, such as in cuprates, manganites,
and others), transport in nanostructures (quantum dots, molecular
conductors), and related topics such as diluted magnetic semiconductors,
quantum decoherence, and computational physics in general. Screening of
applicants will start immediately until the position is filled. The
location of this work will be the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge
National Lab (ORNL). The effort will be closely related to the Spallation
Neutron Source (SNS) and the DOE nanocenter (CNMS). The work will also
benefit from the extensive computer facilities available at ORNL, as well
as our own cluster of workstations. Application, CV, statement of research
interests, and three letters of recommendation should be submitted
electronically to Vickie Chiocca, vchiocca-at-utk.edu or via regular mail
to Profs. A. Moreo or E. Dagotto, Department of Physics and Astronomy,
University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee 37996.
