<p>We invite applications for multiple postdoctoral positions with Prof. Dane Morgan at the<br/>
University of Wisconsin &ndash; Madison. The research is in the broad area of integrating<br/>
atomistic and thermodynamic and kinetic modeling to understand and develop new<br/>
materials. Areas of application include<br/>
<br/>
1. Developing models to understand, predict and control novel radiation-induced<br/>
precipitates recently identified in nuclear steels and<br/>
2. Molecular Dynamics / Monte Carlo modeling of the thermodynamics and kinetics<br/>
of corrosion in molten salts.<br/>
<br/>
A PhD in materials science, physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, nuclear<br/>
engineering, or a related field is required. Familiarity with one or more of ab initio<br/>
calculations, molecular simulations, continuum rate equations, and<br/>
thermodynamic/kinetic modeling is preferred, but capable and enthusiastic applicants<br/>
with any background will be considered. The research will develop broadly applicable<br/>
skills and understanding and we encourage applications from those with a range of<br/>
materials and modeling interests.<br/>

The appointments are initially for one year with possible extension. Interested applicants<br/>
