A number of post-doctoral positions will be available starting Fall 2012 i= n the Condensed Matter group of the International Centre for Theoretical P= hysics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy. Applicants with a background in electronic = structure and/or molecular dynamics simulations are encouraged to apply. P= resent interests of the group include high-pressure phase transitions, sur= faces, interfaces, materials for solar energy applications, TDDFT methods, = and synchrotron-radiation related physics.

By holding schools and conferences throughout the year and with 6000 scien= tists visiting yearly from all over the world, ICTP provides an exceptiona= lly stimulating research environment. Appointments will be made for two ye= ars, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year. The remunerat= ion includes seniority, travel, and family allowances, on top of a base sa= lary of 22300 Euro/year, tax exempt.
