Dear Colleagues,

I would like to draw your attention to an open Postdoctoral position at the CNR-NANO institute (http://www.nano.cnr.it) in Modena, Italy.


The position is for one-year (starting as soon as possible) and can be renewed upon mutual agreement. The project will deal with the ab initio simulation of spectroscopies (photoemission and optical response) of molecules adsorbed on surfaces, with important focus on the effect of the environment (solvent, surface). Knowledge of many-body perturbation theory (GW, Bethe Salpeter Equation), or TDDFT techniques will be appreciated. According to the attitude of the candidate, both application-oriented research  (in connection with experimental groups), and methodological developments can be considered.


This position is part of an Italian Grant (FIRB 2011-2014, PI: A. Ferretti). If you are interested, please contact me (andrea.ferretti-at-unimore.it).
