PhD fellowship in quantum computational biology

(Parc Científic de Barcelona, Spain)

A PhD fellowship to work in our project “Simulation of reactive processes in heme enzymes and glycoside hydrolases/transferases by means of ab initio molecular dynamics-based methods”, financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN), is available.

The work will be performed at the group of Quantum Simulation of Biological Processes (http://www.pcb.ub.es/sqpbio) of the PCB, leaded by Carme Rovira.

Candidates should have a major chemistry (minor in biochemistry or physics) and be interested in using quantum mechanics to elucidate reactive processes taking place in enzyme active sites. The fellowship is expected to start during 2012.

Applications should include a full CV, a motivation letter and the names of one-two referees, and should be sent by e-mail to Carme Rovira (crovira-at-pcb.ub.es) as soon as possible.
