<p>The Department of Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee invites applications for post-doctoral positions in electronic structure theory/computational materials science in the group of Michael Weinert.&nbsp; Ongoing research, done in close collaboration with experimental groups, includes the study of topological insulators, graphene, oxide materials, and tribology. In addition, there is ongoing code development. The positions, initially for one year but renewable, are available immediately.<br/>
<br/>
Applicants should have a Ph.D in Physics or related discipline, a strong background in condensed matter physics and density functional methods, and a willingness to interact with experimentalists; experience in HPC and code development is desirable. Applicants should submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and the names and contact information of references, to weinert-at-uwm.edu.<br/>
