The Virginia Commonwealth University invites applicants for post-doctoral r=
esearch associate for theoretical studies of magnetic properties and electr=
onic structure of free clusters and nanoparticle assemblies. The positions =
are renewable for up to three years (pending funding approval) with a start=
ing date as early as Jan. 1, 2012. The positions will support research in t=
he theoretical studies in the field of electronic structure and magnetic pr=
operties of clusters, magnetic properties of nano-assembled materials, and =
electronic transport. The applicant will benefit from the close collaborati=
on with renowned experimental groups with whom we have established collabor=
ations. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in condensed matter physics or chemi=
stry and experience working with electronic structure techniques. Qualified=
