<p>One or more postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the group of Professor Angela Violi at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The overall environment of the Violi research group offers postdocs and graduate students broad exposure to computational methodology, interdisciplinary concepts, and advanced computational skills. Research opportunities presently exist in the Violi group in the areas of biology, materials science and combustion chemistry. Specific topics include modeling of nanopowders formation for novel materials, transport of nanoparticles, chemistry and physics of novel fuels, and modeling of nano/bio interfaces.<br/>
Top candidates with a Ph.D. degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, engineering, or related fields are invited to apply. Candidates are expected to have experience with molecular simulations. <br/>
Preference will be given to candidates with intrinsic curiosity and strong personal drive for fundamental scientific discovery and with a strong record of original work as demonstrated by publications in internationally-recognized refereed journals. <br/>
