One post-doctoral position is available in the Catalysis and Separation R&D Division at Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP) under the supervision of Pascal Raybaud and Philippe Sautet at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS-Lyon). The position is opened from now and is funded for 12 months with a possible prolongation of 6 months.

The project will focus on theoretical calculations within density functional theory (DFT) formalism and beyond (DFT+U, Hybrid functionals) for the determination of the electronic structure of doped TiO2 semiconductors related to parameters such as the nature of the doping agent, its concentration, the crystallographic structure and surface so as to combine the dissociative adsorption of water with the
proper tailored band gap of light absorbing solid. To meet these challenges, close interactions with the theoretical group at the ENS-Lyon and the experimental teams located at IRCELYON will be encouraged.
This project makes part of a collaboration between IFP-Lyon, CNRS (IRCELYON), ENS-Lyon (France) and KAUST (Saudi Arabia). Main working address is IFP Lyon (France) but visits at ENS-Lyon, IRCELYON and at KAUST must be foreseen. Gross Salary: 3300 EUR/month.

Motivated candidates with PhD in computational chemistry or physics, excellent
skills in theoretical modelling and fluent english speaking/writting are invited to
send their CV (including a list of publications), a brief description of research
experience and letters of recommendation to the following contact address:
