Subject: MIT / Italy post-doc in Quantum Monte Carlo

Post-doc at the Massachussets Institute of Technology (Cambridge, USA)
in collaboration with the University of L'Aquila (L'Aquila, Italy) and
SISSA (Trieste, Italy).

A post-doctoral fellowship ( renewable every year, up to 3 years) is
available in the research field of:

"Quantum Monte Carlo calculations of  free radicals".

The fellowship will be spent both in Italy and in the US.

The focus of research will be centered on electronic structure calculations of free radicals relevant to biological systems, particularly oxygen radicals.
Candidate should have a strong background in many body physics
or theoretical chemistry, and extensive experience with electronic structure calculations. A major part of the fellowship (including the first year) will be spent in Italy. 

People involved are Bernhardt Trout in MIT, Leonardo Guidoni in L'Aquila and Sandro Sorella in Trieste.
