<p>Post Doctoral Position within the ERC-AG SEPON project<br/>
<br/>
A theoretical and computational Post Doctoral fellowship in the Ab Initio Materials Science group at IPCF-CNR in Pisa, Italy under the supervision of Dr. Alessandro Fortunelli is available.<br/>
<br/>
The fellowship is funded within the recently approved SEPON project of the European Research Council Advanced Grants (ERC-AG). SEPON will focus on the search for emergent phenomena in oxide ultrananostructures grown on metal surfaces, and is coordinated by Dr. Falko Netzer of the University of Graz (Austria). The research unit at IPCF-CNR will deal with the theoretical and computational aspects of this challenging project.<br/>
<br/>
Candidates should have a strong background both in the application of density-functional periodic codes to surface science problems and in the theoretical modeling of the physics of confined systems.<br/>
<br/>
We can offer a very nice working environment in a famous, well-connected and relaxed Tuscan university town. Salary will be negotiated on the basis of the candidate&rsquo;s experience.<br/>
