First Principles Calculation of Optical Properties of Semiconductor Surfaces

I am looking for a candidate to apply for a Postdoctoral Fellowship offered by the Irish Research Council for Science Engineering and Technology (IRCSET) .  The candidate should have experience in first principles calculations and, preferably, experience in code development.  The project will be in Optical Properties of Semiconductor Surfaces.  Existing code will be used to study optical properties at a single particle level. There will also be opportunities to continue development of a code for many-body calculations of optical properties and apply this to optical properties.  The work will be done in collaboration with Prof. John McGilp's experimental group at Trinity College.

The Irish Research Council for Science Engineering and Technology (IRCSET) Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme has announced a call with a closing date of Friday 16th January 2009.  The EMPOWER scheme
