The Quantum Simulations Group (http://www.llnl.gov/qsg) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory has an opening for a post-doctoral research position in the field of electronic structure simulations of materials.  A highly qualified theorist is needed with a strong background in solid-state physics or chemistry and experience with the development and application of electronic structure simulation techniques such as Density Functional Theory and/or Quantum Monte Carlo methods. Candidates with experience investigating electron transport processes and defects in semiconductors are particularly encouraged to apply. A strong programming background is also highly desirable.
