This the home page for dissemination of information to Chairs (and other senior members) of US University Astronomy Departments. The principal regular event is the biennial meeting of Astronomy Department Chairs that is facilitated by the American Astronomical Society.

The Seventh Biennial AAS Astronomy Chairs Meeting was held on Saturday 6 November, 2010, at the Chicago O'Hare Hilton. See meeting program and agenda items. Meeting notes have been kindly provided by John Hawley (meeting Chair).

For examples of assessments of degree programs, curricula, etc. see plans, which were collected by Neal Evans of University of Texas after the 2008 meeting.

Details of the sixth (1 November, 2008) and fifth (4 November, 2006) meetings, both also held at at the Chicago O'Hare Hilton, are still available, together with some material from the 2004, 2002, and 2000 meetings.
